Nedbank LVCC Comrades Run for Charity

Comrades is a momentous event and each year history is made by the great achievements of the runners. Along with the winners, are the rest of the participants who brave the arduous journey hoping only to be named a finisher!!!!

This year a group of Nedbank LVCC runners will tackle this event with added purpose.

They hope to raise enough money for the purchase of a medical device for a fellow runner who, due to diabetes, is unable to compete in the Comrades journey. Janine is in need of an insulin pump that will help regulate her sugar/insulin levels and to this end Fanie, Justyna and others of the LVCC team are collecting donations to fund this life enhancing medical device.

Janine is a very special person, a dedicated teacher, the secretary of Nedbank LVCC Running Club and a great friend and running partner. Her enthusiasm for life is infectious and she spurs us on to all do better in our chosen goals. She is a mentor and an inspiration to all our new runners offering valuable advice to all who are starting out on this running journey. She makes it seems possible so new runners try and find that it is.

The target we have set for this project is R 50 000!!! LVCC running club will facilitate this drive and all donations can be paid into Nedbank LVCC Running Club, Nedbank Account number 1121360629 – reference - Janine/Your own name.
